Rock 365 : Day 55 : Halite Hopper Crystals #365photos


Day 55 : These are halite hopper crystals.  Their shape is due to the higher electrical force concentrations at the edges cause the crystals to grow faster here than at the centre of the faces.  These are probably gypsum pseudomorphs after halite. From southern Spain.
