  1. Really? Naturally occurring elemental silicon? I didn’t know such a thing existed! How weird! What’s the environment?

  2. To be honest this sample may not be ‘native’ (there is no information with the specimen) but mindat lists several localities for silicon including a type locality in Cuba.
